Don graduated from the University of Oregon in 1975, after working for two years in the residential and light commercial construction field. After graduation, he continued working in construction until joining an architectural firm in Vancouver, Washington in 1977. In 1978, Don moved to Sparks, Nevada to become the Office Manager of a six person architectural firm in Reno. In 1981, after receiving his Nevada Architectural registration, he started the firm and serves as President and Principal Architect.
Don's enthusiasm for life, combined with his commitment to professional excellence with uncompromised integrity has earned him the respect of his many clients and the community. Don firmly endorses Northern Nevada as a terrific place to raise a family, be involved in the business community and enjoy the extensive outdoor activities.
Don is a member of the Northern Nevada Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA); a professional member of the Associated General Contractors (AGC); an Associate Member of the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO); and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). Don was a member of the Sparks Planning Commission for twelve years. Don is a registered architect in Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Louisiana, Texas and California.
